Class Details:
Ages 8-11 yrs.
(Tuesday & Thursday), (4:30-5:15pm)

(Monday & Wednesday), (4:30-5:15pm)
Our primary goal is to develop well-rounded individuals through dedication, discipline, and desire with an emphasis on fundamental skills and safety in the sport of FOOTBALL.
Program Curriculum
CYC’s Flag Football program teaches sound fundamental offensive and defensive football skills to both experienced and beginner youth athletes. Individual and group drills will be demonstrated to teach basic techniques. Proper warm-up, physical conditioning, skill drills, chalk-talks, and film review are performed in each class. NO previous football experience is required.

Basic formation and offensive play installation
Proper receiving stance, catching mechanics and route running skills
Ball carrying, ball security, and escape/juke moves
Passing, grip, stance, and basic read progression

Age appropriate defensive coverages (man and zone concepts)
Proper stance, leverage, coverage alignments (man and zone concepts)
Zone coverage responsibilities, eye discipline and zone spacing discipline

Becoming a leader on and off the field

This is a 45-minute class with a strong emphasis on the basic fundamentals of the sport. Along with football drills members will be required to perform challenging conditioning drills which incorporate speed, agility, and core strength exercises.
