Program Goal

The Strength and Conditioning program is committed to developing our members both mentally and physically. Our goal is to provide student athletes with the knowledge, motivation, confidence, and the training necessary to reach their athletic potential while minimizing the risk of injury by adequately preparing for the demands of competition. We will create a positive, encouraging, and energetic training environment conducive to the overall development of our student athletes.

Program Offerings

Beginner

Classes available for ages:

  • Ages 8-11

  • Ages 12+

This is an introduction class to strength and conditioning that will help improve the basics of coordination, balance, running mechanics and overall body awareness by focusing training on core stabilization, strength, and power. The center of all power and strength in the human body originates in the core and the stronger or more flexible a student athlete can have in the core, the chances of maximizing their athletic potential increases. Any member who is interested in improving their athletic ability or overall core strength will benefit from this class. No prior experience in strength training is required for this class.

Intermediate

Classes available for ages:

  • Ages 8-11

  • Ages 12+

This is a post-introduction higher intensity class that combine the aspects of speed, power, stabilization, strength, and power. The primary goal of the program is to prevent and minimize the risk of injury by adequately preparing student athletes for the demands of competition while training in a professional, positive, and clean environment. Our goals are accomplished by utilizing free weight, ground based, multi-joint movements in an environment of positive reinforcement, good communication, and constant encouragement. Good lifting technique is vital as we build functional strength for the athletes. Prior strength training is recommended for this class, but not required.
