CYC Athletics

The Community Youth Center offers ten different sports, ranging in all fields of motion. The programs on campus place an emphasis on building confidence, character, establishing disciple, and understanding of respect.

  • Boxing

Over the years, CYC has produced several national champions and numerous outstanding boxers, and continues to do so today. More importantly, the program has taught and developed core values in young boys and girls that will help them in all areas of their lives. The coaching staff proudly teaches the values of respect, camaraderie, tenacity, sportsmanship, honor, and especially the three D’s of the CYC: Discipline, Dedication and Desire.

  • Cheerleading

The CYC Cheerleading Program is designed to teach girls and boys of all ages about the sport of all-star cheerleading. We offer training from basic fundamentals to advanced skills in tumbling, stunting, jumps, and performance. Cheerleading teaches discipline, dedication, leadership, team work, and sportsmanship. We provide a positive and fun learning experience at all levels 1 through 5. Recreational cheer classes are geared to teach students the skills required at a competitive level. Each class will start with a 15 minute warmup, 10 min stretching and then do drills for tumbling, jumping, and stunting the remainder of the class.

  • Dance

CYC’s Dance program is for members from the age of 3 to 18. The dance program is suited for all types of dancers – from beginners to experts. Beginning dancers will learn the fundamentals of dancing by learning body movement and stretching. As the dancer progresses they will be challenged to new classes and to learn new skills.

  • Flag Football

Our primary goal is to develop well-rounded individuals in a fun, safe, caring, and structured environment. We provide student athletes with the knowledge, motivation, confidence, and training necessary to prepare them for the demands of football.

  • Gymnastics

At CYC, we offer more than just a place for recreational gymnastics. We provide a positive learning experience for your child. To allow each child’s development in a safe and positive manner, our Tumble Tots classes have a desired 6 to 1 student to coach ratio and our School Age classes have an 8 to 1 ratio.

  • Judo

Judo is a fun sport, a physical and mental discipline, a martial art form, a recreational activity, a means of self-defense and a fitness program.

  • Soccer

    Soccer

The objective of the soccer program is to develop intelligent, intuitive and creative soccer players with the correct technical, tactical, physical and psychological skills to succeed on the pitch. The CYC Soccer Program provides age-appropriate training for the youth soccer player.

  • Strength & Conditioning

The Strength and Conditioning program is committed to developing our members both physically and mentally. Our goal is to provide student athletes with the knowledge, motivation, confidence, and the training necessary to reach their athletic potential while minimizing the risk of injury by adequately preparing for the demands of competition.

  • Taekwondo

The CYC Taekwondo program focuses on fundamentals of the martial art. Every student has their strengths, weaknesses, and personal interests. Some are very motivated to compete, others are more concerned with self-defense, general fitness, or any number of aspects of training that Taekwondo provides.

  • Wrestling

The CYC Wrestling program offers young athletes the opportunity to participate and excel in one of the world’s oldest sports. The program trains and challenges wrestlers at all age groups from Kindergarten through High School, and experience levels from beginner to champion.
